Coby TF-DVD7100 Portable DVD Player
The 7100 is one of Coby's most popular models and, judging from Amazon.com sales figures, one of the most popular portable DVD players on the market.

Only a few independent reviews of it appear to be online.
A reviewer at the About website wrote:

Strengths: Good picture, plays most formats (DVD, DVD-R, etc), ease of use.

Weaknesses: Speaker volume.

Summary: We bought this for a long flight trip. The battery lasted the whole trip and could be plugged into the cigarette lighter in a car (great feature). The only problem we had was that the speaker volume was nowhere near as loud as it should have been. In an airplane with roaring engines and people talking, I still could barely hear the movie with my noise reducing headphones on.

So, if you plan on using this in a fairly quiet area, this is definitely a great product with a good price. However, if there will be more than just a minimal amount of noise, look into something a little louder.

The Newbie website described the player as follows:

Coby is known for its great design qualities and attractive technology and this particular portable player is no exception. Dark black buttons laid out in a unique way sit in relief on a silver background and make for a truly good-looking portable unit. The Coby Model TF-DVD7100 plays DVD, MP3, CD and CD-RW formats – giving you a great mix of sound and image graced by the most advanced digital technology. The player is pretty simple and will play DVDs and CDs quite well.

Amazon.com has more than 100 customer reviews. Here's one, from a reviewer who awarded the player five stars (out of five):

This product comes with a ton of built-in features and accessories that you'd have to purchase separately with other products. Compare the product description to similar players and you'll see that this one stands out.

This product's decent image quality and good battery life (about 3 hours per charge) make this an easy purchase for the budget minded.

My only issue is that the built-in speakers aren't quite loud enough when riding in a car but the player does come with two headphone jacks which is another nice little feature.

Highly recommended.
