The D1708PK, with a 7-inch screen, is one of the most popular of Audiovox's range of portable DVD players.

According to the official company specifications, it features:

The Devices and Development website wrote about it:

If you have children, friends, or you simply don't like to face the world -- the Audiovox D1708PK portable DVD player is the perfect solution. It's small, it's cheap, its ultra slim, and this one in particular comes with a bunch of free stuff -- how can you say no?

...The battery offers 3 hours of life and takes 5 hours to charge. There are inputs and outputs for composite-video and stereo analog-audio, allowing users to hook up everything from camcorders to gaming consoles.

...The D1708PK comes with a bonus pack, which includes 2 sets of surprisingly good folding stereo headphones, a credit card-sized remote control, and even a carrying pouch for all your new stuff.

However, the review did warn that - due to a probable manufacturing flaw - some buyers found their models did not work properly.

Canada's HUB Digital Living magazine, in a survey of portable DVD players, said:

Some portable DVD players, such as the Audiovox D1708PK ($199), ship with a case that straps onto the back of the driver or passenger seat, therefore you can open the clam-shell player all the way and slide it into the case for hands-free backseat viewing.
