HP Officejet 4215 Printer
The
4215 - known as an "all-in-one" - is one of the most popular of HP's
home-use printers.
PC Magazine
concluded:
We rated the 4215's output as somewhat better than good for text and
photos and very good for graphics. For text, more than half of the fonts we
test with were easily readable at 4 points, but two highly stylized fonts
needed 12-point size to avoid filling in the holes in lowercase Es. Graphics
and photos both suffered from several minor flaws; in each case, it was the
number of flaws rather than their severity that lowered the rating.
Even so, the 4215 offers better output quality than most AIOs [All-In-Ones]
in its price class, which makes it a reasonable choice.
CNET was positive:
The Hewlett-Packard OfficeJet 4215 All-in-One is an attractive,
affordable, and reliable color inkjet multifunction printer for homes and
small businesses. Vendor-rated to print 17 pages per minute in black ink and
12 pages per minute in color ink, it's fast, although not the speediest
multifunction in its class. We're OK with that, though, because this machine
favors quality over quantity, producing equally impressive print, copy, and
scan output. HP's high-quality software and support, wide variety of copy
options, and handy features--for example, the ability to create your own fax
cover sheet--offset a few downsides, such as a small, awkward output tray
and the lack of a built-in memory card reader. If you need an affordable,
high-quality multifunction printer for your home or office, this is the best
choice on the market.
Hardware Central also liked it:
You can find multifunction peripherals with more convenient flatbed
scanner/copiers for the same or less than the Officejet 4215's thrifty $149,
but those units lack the office standby of fax-machine functionality. If
your home office or small business doesn't require high-volume printing and
you don't mind a sheetfed scanner, you'll find the HP an effective
replacement for several office machines.
